Ashdell Film Festival Success

For those who don't already know, Ashdell girls used Stop Motion Animation to create their own amazing film - The Crystal Ball.  In March 2009 we received a very exciting call to say that our film had been nominated for entry to the forthcoming Seoul International Film Festival in July 2009.  Click here to find more!

Our Photo Comp. Results!

COMPETITION UPDATE ......... One of our pupils was awarded 2nd place in the Prep. School Magazine competition out of hundreds of entries!  The other two winners were both shots from Kenya.  Two Ashdell girls were also given a special commendation. Annie was awarded a digital camera by a photographer from Tempest Photography.

The girls and our 'resident' photographer Karen Jones have worked really hard to capture their memories and feelings of how they view Ashdell. I'm sure you'll agree the results are amazing!

Welcome to Ashdell

We are aware that a child's first step into full time education is very important and that it must be a positive and happy experience. Our aim at Ashdell is to provide a calm, happy and secure environment which is also stimulating, challenging and exciting.

Your daughters will gain in confidence and initiative, work hard, learn to think independently and experience the satisfaction which comes from their own achievements and successes.

Every day is an Open Day so please arrange to come and see us. We look forward to seeing you.

Ashdell Blog

On Friday 5th February P4 went to York to play in a netball tournament at Queen Margaret's School.  We travelled by train and then coach.  The P4 girls were overwhelmed with the size of the school;  they even had an Art block, tuck house, two swimming pools, not to mention the actual building!  Prep 4 played in five games all on court two, of which we won three of them.  In the first game we played against Woodleigh and won 5 - 1.  The second game went just as well and we beat Glebe House 4 - 2.  This next game was a little trickier and we unfortunately lost 0 - 8 to Tregelles.  For the next game we came back with fighting spirit beating St. Mary's 2 - 1.  The fifth game was our last so we wanted to do well, and even though we did not beat Belmont Grosvenor we played exceptionally well seeing as they had won the previous two years.  We lost 0 - 7.  We did not get into the semi-final, or the final, but we all tried our best and played remarkably well, and that's what matters.  Well done to all of the Prep 4 girls and thank you to Mrs Strong and Miss Morris.
