Friends of Ashdell Karaoke Disco at The Beauchief Hotel, Sheffield.
It was a case of is it on? or is it off?, thanks to the cold winter weather of late, but our 2nd Karaoke Disco did go a head and was a great success. Thank you to all who made it ,it was great to see so many girls there, all dressed up in their sparkly dancing clothes and shoes. It was nice for parents to get together in the bar and retreat from the screeching..(I mean singing) in the other room and catch up with each others news.
There was no shortage of volunteers to stand up at the microphone, we had everything from Abba to Michael Jackson, from Robbie Williams to Girls Aloud.
However, it was noted that despite the eagerness of the girls to sing their favourite songs, that same eagerness wasn't apparent amongst the parents!!...one to work on for next year maybe?
