Parent’s Checklist For Online Safety
Sometimes, when it comes to the internet, it seems our children know more than us. Here is a checklist to help you think about ways to ensure your child is using the online world in a safe way.
Keeping Up With The Joneses
How much do you know about your daughters online activities?
February 7th is Safer Internet Day and our focus this year is ‘Connecting Generations’.
From the Think You Know website:
PP3 Fire Station Report
We visited the museum and learnt all about different firemen uniforms and looked at the different types of fire engines.
Then we walked through Sheffield to the Fire Station where we looked inside a real fire engine and all had a go at using the water hose.
We had to leave early though due to a real fire alarm going off and all the firemen having to leave to see a real emergency. It was very exciting!
Our Three Proud 2012 Scholars
They say good things come in threes and at Ashdell it certainly rings true.
Three of our Prep 4 (Year 6) pupils have achieved scholarships in their recent entrance exam to Sheffield High School.
Mia (Head Girl) and Alice have both been awarded academic Scholarships and fellow pupil Pippa has achieved a Music scholarship.
‘Ashdell girls always work exceptionally hard in preparation for their entrance exams. We are delighted and very proud of the fact that this year we have three girls who have achieved scholarships. They are a credit to the school, well done girls!

Ashdell On The Radio
Ashdell staff and girls were interviewed by BBC Radio Sheffield just before Christmas about our school radio station.
Ashdell radio is run by the Prep 4 DJ’s (girls) each break time and after school.
